National Doughnut Day

Today is National Doughnut Day! This is celebrated on the first Friday of June each year. There is something special about that delicious deep fried treat that brings a smile to everyone’s face. It was created by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor those of their members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.
